Founded in 1968, Heathrow Air Ambulance (HAA) is a trusted specialist in airside medical transfers and patient transport services at Heathrow Airport. With over five decades of experience, we provide seamless, safe, and dignified transfers for stretcher patients arriving and departing on international flights.

Our specially designed hi-lift vehicles allow us to meet patients directly at the aircraft door, ensuring smooth airside transfers on and off planes with minimal disruption. From there, our ground ambulance fleet provides onward transport between the airport and hospitals across the UK.

As an official medical emergency response partner to Heathrow Airport, HAA is contracted to assist passengers who become unwell during flight, offering rapid, professional support the moment the aircraft lands.

Beyond airside operations, we also offer comprehensive bed-to-bed air ambulance case management—coordinating every stage of a patient’s journey between countries. This includes arranging medical flights, hi-lift access, and ground transportation, ensuring a fully managed and compassionate service from departure to arrival.
